In loving memory of Frusci

This is a slideshow of my maltese dog, Frusci. He passed away July 23, 2008. He was 13 years old. Frusci came into our lives in 2000 when he was 5. He was very overweight when we got him and it was hard to get the weight off. In 2005, he was diagnosed with diabetes. He had to receive 2 insulin shots a day along with diabetic food. By then he went from a 26lb dog to 13lbs. In July 2008, we found out he had developed a tumor on his spleen…which took his life. I loved this dog so very much, my whole family did. He was the best dog anyone could ask for and I miss him dearly.

The vet never said that but I’m sure it did…diabetes really takes a toll on the body and for a dog it’s probably even worse.

lovely dog, he’s resting peacefully now. do you know if the diabetes caused the tumor or that just came on it’s own?

Wonderfull dog, Our pets touch us in such a wonderfull way that they remain forever in our hearts. I am sorry for your loss ,but remember that the truly great thing about being an animal is that they live there lives withever having to thing that one day we die. Imagine living without ever realizing this fact. Thats why im convinced your dog was happy to the end and god welcomed him into heaven. God bless you,,,,

one day i was watching this interview with the red hot chili peppers. the guitar player’s name is john frusciante…he said something about how his nickname in the band is frusci. i thought it was cute and then about a week later i found out about a dog that needed a home…soo i adopted him and named him frusci=)

Touching video and a great tribute to an adorable dog. Nice to see you haven’t forgot. Curious as to how the name Frusci was chosen?

Even though he was sick, he lived a good 13 years, and I am so glad you rescued him and took care of him every day. It’s crazy how much our dogs can mean to us,
